Meth had been in a foul mood ever since Tyler had left. They had been in a poor place at the time, and now she was back to square one ( ... )

Bass recognized her; she was on that post the Captain had made forever ago. So she was crew, then. What was it Phoenix had told him when he'd first arrived? Something about the Captain taking particular offense to the murder of his crew.

Please. This girl looked like a twig, Bass could break her in five seconds. ...though she also looked human.

Being human didn't mean he had to take her sass, though. He only half-turned to face her, but tossed aside the chunk of stone he'd been holding and snorted. "You have exactly three seconds to fuck off before I break that dainty little face of yours." It was mostly bluff, (completely bluff if she was human) but she didn't have to know that.

Meth responded immediately. With a little of her power and all the rage behind it, Meth threw Bass back against the closest wall and held him pinned there. It took very little effort to manage that. Meth's temper had always been an asset when going against harder, heavier opponents. The adrenaline rush that came with it was almost addictive for her.

Quick steps forward brought Meth face to face with the robot, though she kept a careful distance away. Her eyes flicked over Bass' body, taking in all the metal as her lips twisted into a sneer.

"By all means, try and break my face. I would love to see you try."

Fuck.

He'd had his pain sensors turned off for quite some time so the blow didn't hurt physically so much as it wounded his ego. Fucking freaks and their Goddamn powers. Nobody could just punch somebody in the face anymore, they had to use some magnetic force or EMP or some other bullshit that rendered him useless. One of the few drawbacks of this God-forsaken ship.

It was difficult to move his jaw, so he just bared his teeth and hissed through them. He'd definitely break her face now; one way or another. He got around Jak's advantage, he'll find out her deal and get around it too.
