I know this probably isn't what you had in mind, but I started writing it anyway and figured I might as well post it. It's been a while since I've read the books, so I apologize for any inconsistencies. Hope you like it!As it turns out, when the Capitol isn’t selling its victors for sex, it’s paying them to kill the ones who couldn’t be politely quieted with a few hours in bed with a national hero. Perhaps Finnick was under the delusion that he could be rid of the Capitol once he won, once he sent twenty-three people to their early deaths. There was something so…pure about him once, before the games, and even during the games. Sometimes, even after the games were over, Finnick would find himself momentarily caught up in moments outside of the evil of the Capitol, sometimes he found himself reverting back to that childlike innocence and happiness he had once known. Too often, however, those moments were few and far between; the lapses of darkness growing longer and deeper and darker each time

D; is this a good time to request friendship on here because i looked for a friends post at your journal and couldn't find one. maybe i'm blind, idek, but i saw that part in your info and boys who snark through their daddy issues, and i love talking about that too, so. friends? :D

ahahaha sure! i still can't even comprehend why anyone would want to be friends with me (+ i'm phenomenally lazy) BUT YES FRIENDS IT IS. boys with daddy issues are the best.
