I love this. Love it. I've never seen an Elva/Murtagh interaction fic before, and this is BEAUTIFUL. You portray both characters with amazing intuition and insight.

I love that Elva can feel his pain...I actually kind of wondered myself if she could, since she's so in-tune with others' suffering (and let's face it, Murtagh arguably suffers more than almost anyone in the series.)

Your writing is phenomenal, and your grasp of the characters flawless. I was blown away by this. Fabulous job.

Wow, thank you! I tend to be very happy when people say I have good characterization because honestly? That's pretty much all I have going for me.

Elva and Murtagh was just completely random--at ten at night I decided I was going to write an Elva-fic, and oooh, I needed another character--old faithful, Murtagh. And then they actually worked. And really, really well (if I do say so myself). Now I kinda sorta am writing lots and lots of fic with them in? \o/

But they really do have so much in common and it really surprised me that the two characters I picked out of the blue clicked like they did. I mean, Murtagh is pretty much the Inheritance *definition* for being in pain (emotional *and* physical); Elva's job is to make it better. A match made in hell. *pets them*

Anyway, thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked. (People kept getting confused on SFF, which made me stress about this a bit)
