i don't really even know what this is, but it takes place in heliocentrism-verse. because i missed writing my one true fandom. even if these are not my favourite characters.

this is set post-cycle, in some nebulous future where peace has been managed and everything turned out okay, except really, really not.

sometimes she misses murtagh. she doesn ( Read more... )

omg I think I accidentally stole your Murtagh's-kids names. (Or you stole mine?) In the spur-of-the-moment epilogue of my Roran/Birgit fic, I named his son Tor (Tornac) and daughter Lena (Selena). (Although in mine they're Katrina's kids, and Tor is secretly Roran's bastard. Scandalous.) Guess it makes sense though, his mother and his mentor.

anyway, moving on...

Roran/Nasuada's such an interesting pairing because they're both leaders in canon... and even though this is AU futurefic I can still see it happening. They're all world-weary and sad and responsible, and it obviously follows that they're going to want to do something rather reckless and stupid like becoming romantically involved. :P

As always, it was a lovely read. I especially liked "settling her skirts into a fan" but all the imagery is great.

ahaha, that's hilarious! in my weird universe, tor is murtagh & nasuada's son, his full name is galbatorix (because galbatorix was setting himself up to be a catalyst for change, and so was not necessarily -bad-) but no one knows that except nasuada, everyone else just thinks he's called 'tor'; selena is nasuada and orrin's daughter.

roran/nasuada pings really hard for me, especially after the war. i just don't see katrina, the way she's characterized in canon (esp. since she doesn't actually fight) being able to keep up with roran, the way that he's given up all his moral high ground to win, the way he's lost all his innocence, because katrina is, fundamentally, an innocent character.

thank you very much =]
