 This is the year all my music dreams are coming true, I suppose, because aside from seeing Cale twice, I also saw Steve Harley.

He can't stand anymore, since aside from the damage he already had he also broke his hip a while ago and he said he can't feel his one leg anymore. But even with that and the fact that he's aging, he still exudes nothing ( Read more... )

Lovely to hear you've seen Steve. He made a big impression on me too (and I'm really a Beatles-era freak!)

Sorry to hear he's not 100% mobile any more. What happened? (Apart from the recent hip problem)

Well, he's always had spine and leg problems from the polio, when I saw him in what, 2010? those were making it difficult to walk already but combined with the broken hip I guess it really is a problem.

But it never stopped him from being an impressive person lol.

Yes, all's well. I made the decision earlier this year, inspired by Shashi Kapoor's death, to treat my life like it's my fandom and that's working out well for me.

I know of him, if not really his work, but from seeing him interviewed I would agree that he has charisma to burn! Glad it was such a great experience for you.

Yes, deeply charming in a scary way. Watching him express emotions with his hands while he sings is like watching a witch weave a spell, it's amazing.
