Imagine a child; this child acts poorly, and is scolded by a mother; the child isn't 'evil', and we don't 'hate' the child - neither does the mother - rather, the scolding is an attempt to help the child, because this is all we can do. In the face of ignorance - the face of the child - all one can do is try to lead the dumber man towards the good. Can there be ignorance without innocence? Isn't ignorance by its very definition the lack of proper training? And, if this is the case, ought we act towards people without proper training with less hate and more sympathy?
