...and kicking:-)

The last few hours of my week off are running through. But it was a faboulous week! I was rarely online - peeking into Twitter, tending crops on FarmVille and PioneerTrail, and bookmarking flist entries for later... Every time I thought "Oh, tonight I'm gonna catch up with my flist" there was either a thunderstorm so I had to shut ( Read more... )

Sounds like a lovely week off. :g:

As for Karen Traviss, unless I'm getting confused, David has the same annoyances with her. The problem is, as I understand it, she was not hired being a fan/in any way familiar with Star Wars, and when she did her research she ended up with a bunch of Mandalorian fanboys... One of the groups that dresses up as a unit to go to conventions and stuff. She was big into military history, I think? So... Yeah. An understandable skew... lol

Yeah, that's her! Mandalorians are her favorites, and I think she keeps stuffing them in everywhere. And she made Boba Fett far too mellow for my taste. Even if he's terminally ill, he wouldn't get all whiny about his wife and daughter. In my opinion. *crunches nose*

It's a very cute little town! Emphasis on "little" *g* but I don't go there to have action, I go there to relax. The beach is lovely, and you can walk for hours, if you have decent footwear. Plus, the frisian tea is very yummy!:-)

A special brand of black tea, served with cream and rock sugar. And it tastes best if you drink it there at the coast ("Ostfriesland"), I think it has something to do with the water quality. It's almost like a tea ceremony. You are not allowed to drink tea in a hurry. :-)
