Whoa

Jul 06, 2011 10:08

At long last, I finished reading all of the entries for the AU contest. *collapses* Some of them were truly spectacular, but man, has this been a grueling few days trying to get through all of them and not being able to do much of anything else... I'm dying to get back to working on my novel, it feels like much too long. I'm proud of my story and ( Read more... )

Argh...I seriously need my laptop fixed so I can read all the glorious fic - Hopefully I can borrow my neighbour's tomorrow! I haven't had any time either what with Supernatural Bigbang stuff to do...but I'll get to it!

Is it bad that as a Brit my 4th of July awareness extends to this:

Whoa very intense; I've never actually seen that movie. Hahaha I must admit I would have thought that in your school they would have at least mentioned that it's when the American Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence. xD

lolol - Well I've picked up that much from movies! I dunno - we used to do more European and English histroy...but when you think about it England has a LOT of history so we cover Roman history, Mediveval history and WW1/2. I only did history up till I was 14 so They probably did American history after that. XD

I know what you mean - crazy amount of LONG fics. Not complaining though, NOT COMPLAINING - dear lovely writers, keep those fics coming...

But it was a lot to read, especially in the limited time that we were given. They were all so good, too! It was very difficult to pick just three. I wish I could pick more.

Yeah, especially long fics that were all kept as a oneshot... xD As Kahn would say "He taxes me."

So far it has seemed to be a well put together contest. :) I wish I could count up the points... I love doing that sort of thing. xD We'll see the results soon!

I agree, it was a very well put together contest; the voting closes tomorrow so the results should be out by the end of the week (I hope).

I'm curious to see the results! ^_^

You maniac! I can't believe you've read through all the stories. That's so amazing. Really, quite the feat. I'm staring at the checklist right now and there's still so many stories left to read. Only six of them are crossed off my list, and I'm thinking about making a cup of coffee before settling in for the night.

But honestly... you must be exhausted now. I hope you're lying down against some cushy pillows and getting some rest. *tucks in*

Eek yeah. A cup of coffee, eh heheh, I'm sure it was very necessary. Definitely.

Yeah I went outside and got some fresh air for a couple hours. xD And then once bedtime came, there were cushy pillows involved, oh yes...

First off: YOUR ICON. ♥ :D *sorry, it got me distracted*

And yeah, YAY for the AU contest! I had so much fun reading all those entries and I pretty much shifted and changed my three votes endlessly before I could come with my final three. XD

Hahaha yeah Mei is so cute!!!

With the voting, my top three didn't actually end up changing except for switching positions, but there were a number of other fics that gave them a run for their money so I had some careful consideration. Pros and cons list, stuff like that. xD

Now I just eagerly await the results....!!!

Miyazaki makes amazing stuff. :D

I had around 5-6 favorites and it took me the whole week to decide which to vote for. Sigh. XD

Yeah, he does! My Neighbor Totoro was the first anime I ever saw because long before my sister and I got into anime, our parents would get us My Neighbor Totoro from the college library (they teach there, so they get to check stuff out for as long as they want without paying late fees, heh heh) and we watched it so many times! I have a hard time watching the newer Disney dub because I'm so attached to the old Fox one.
