So, I finally posted all of my 30_hath ficlets to AO3 yesterday while LJ was down. (DON'T READ THEM. THEY ARE NOT GOOD. Well, fine, I like the Founder fics, but the rest are mildly horrifying to re-read

Sooooo, I'm trawling through LOTR atm, and whilst I am a large Potter fan, I've never been a fan of Marauder-era fic. But, during my trawling through one of my favorite LOTR writers' favortie story list I happened upon this summary:
It’s 1980. James is afraid to think. Sirius is afraid to act. Remus is afraid to speak. Peter is afraid to confess. In other words, an answer to the old question: how could Sirius suspect Remus? Written prior to OotP, HBP, and DH. Now slightly AU. Done. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/437455/1/Darkness_Dying
Can't speak as to it being any good, except it being on a good authors favorite list but hope this is the kind of thing you're after!
(on second thought, I just glanced at the first page and, well, it might well be bad!fic, but hey ho. I'll keep my eyes open through my own trawling)
Yay for trawling through old fandoms! It's actually kinda funny, there's a lot of new fandom fests and stuff happening right now in Torchwood, so I'm sort of bouncing excitedly...and then I get distracted by HP. Of course, I still have to get my (awful) LotR fic on AO3 from ff.net and then hide in shame. LotR was my first real fandom.
But thanks for the rec either way! I have been digging through everything I can find, I'll look it over. :D In all seriousness, I'm considering writing the fic I want just so it exists. The fandom is failing me!
And thanks for thinking of me!
(What kind of LotR fic do you like? I mean, I was a ridiculous teenager when I read LotR fic so I don't think I have any real recs, but LotR! It's awesome!)
My other fandoms have kept me slightly out of touch with TW fandom for a month or two, which is actually working out great. There's always something new and exciting when I check TW now! I hoping something completely amazing will come out of the new stuff happening (I'm sure it will!) and I'll get sucked right back in. You completely set me off yesterday with just one small mention of HP stuff and whoops there went the LotR trawling, Hello old HP favorites hahahaha. I was big on HP fandom for AGES!!!! It was Torchwood that took over it actually

Hahaha, that's fantastic! I spend most of my time clicking refresh on various pages madly trying to MAKE things happen. :D
It's funny, I was just sort of quietly hanging out online mostly poking comic book fandoms when Torchwood just happened for me. And now it's the most involved I've ever been in a fandom! But I keep drifting around old ones recently.
Old fic is terrible. But I can't bring myself to delete it, because it's part of my past, you know? And I've never written any recent stuff for LotR, so it's the only sign that I was once a rabid crazed fan. :D
