I looked in the mirror today and I have eyebrows - you can see the actual definition of my brow. Totally sharing the yay on that one since y'all get to read about the bad days...

On the geeky side of things, I started getting the fabric I need to begin sewing my garb for masahide's elevation ceremony in the SCA. I'm trying to make the outfit as ( Read more... )

I just found out about that, too.

Yeah for eye brows you probably have more than Bill has ever had! (Mister my eyebrows are so sparse and blond you can't see them)

Yay! Eyebrows!

And yes, Peter Gabriel has a new album. The one review of it that I've seen didn't sound very favorable, unfortunately. Now if I could just remember *where* I saw that...

And sewing. Sewing is good!

Yay, eyebrows! ;)

I haven't seen any reviews of the album but I just listened to "Flume" and it was lovely. It didn't have the punch of some of his earlier stuff and he does have a tendency to be uneven as a songwriter - when he's on, he's fucking on. When he's off, not so much...

I'll probably get the album for "The Book of Love" alone, which is schmoopy and has violins as background music and is nothing like "Digging in the Dirt" or "Solsbury Hill" - but the song makes me cry every time I hear it.

And he is the official character soundtrack for Charlotte Webb...

But I digress yet again.

I think that's pretty much what the reviewer said, too. Perhaps I should go see if I can find it on Rhapsody or Last.fm and give some of the track a listen before I decide whether to buy it or not.

And Solsbury Hill is Phoebe's theme song, at least for the first book.

Oy vey! It's a cover album.

I spent years thinking that "The Book of Love" was an original song...

Ah, well. His version still makes me cry.

They should be celebrated, too!

I'm even getting a little writing in on my weird case file story. Won't promise anything, but maybe it'll be in your in-box on Sunday. Woo-hoo.

YAY eyebrows! Also, I personally tend to love cover albums. I have a whole theory on why covers are often awesome. I'll bore you with it sometime. ;)
