I looked in the mirror today and I have eyebrows - you can see the actual definition of my brow. Totally sharing the yay on that one since y'all get to read about the bad days...
On the geeky side of things, I started getting the fabric I need to begin sewing my garb for
masahide's elevation ceremony in the SCA. I'm trying to make the outfit as authentically as possible and I discovered in researching it that I am actually recreating an outfit worn by one of
Oda Nobunaga's sisters. So that was cool and mildly ironic - my husband gets offered a Laurel and I end up making court garb I can submit as an Arts and Sciences project.
I also found out that Peter Gabriel has a new album! And that the song "The Book of Love" - from which I stole a lyric for a wee little ficlet called
Instructions for Dancing - is being included on it. The kicker? It's a cover. The whole album is, actually. All this time and I never knew it wasn't his song originally.
So much for being a music snob.
But I digress...
Hope everyone is having an equally good Friday!
