I'm tryin to work on my footprint too. Have you gotten into the whole "eat local" thing much?

Well, food costs lots of oil to get to us. If it's not in season, and doesn't come from round here, then it was trucked in or flown in from a ways away. A lot of grocery stores have been pushing Chilean fruit, but think of all the miles that travels from Chile to your home. I mean, its one thing to carpool with a friend somewhere, and save a 40 minute round trip of gas, but when you figure it down, the food you eat has a massive footprint ( ... )
