They should totally keep zac's wipe-out scene in the movie. It's a classic send-up on the original iconic Baywatch TV scene. Zac should not have admitted it was a mishap. He should have said he was improvising, like the skilled actor he is.
I agree they should keep it in the movie, but disagree he should have said he was improvising. People relate to the foibles of otherwise perfect people (and hence the internet-wide love and support for Colton Haynes for coming out as suffering from mental illness in addition to coming out as gay).
Zac has admitted he's awkward/klutzy (?) before. This makes him loveable. Despite what Hollywood believes, people relate to weaknesses rather than strengths. Zac is already so polished and professional, showing a deficiency or two is endearing.
Well, I didn't mean he should claim to have been improvising seriously. He should have done it with a wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Actors in comedies are often encouraged to improvise; it's also a kind of competition between the actors themselves, trying to overshadow or trip up their co-stars. So claiming he was improvising would have been a good joke in itself.
"I didn't really slip on a wet floor and break my face on the fountain, I was really trying to do a back flip into the water!"
And I should have added, I agree with your primary point completely. Zac is young, bright, beautiful, talented, rich, famous, and can get more women than he could service by just crooking his finger. Oh, and he's also a very nice guy.
Please, show me a flaw! I feel a little better about myself every time he takes a dumb-ass tumble. And I like him even more, because he reveals his humanity. So, he's not a god walking the earth after all!

This is a lovely interview, btw: http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/fitness/exercise/zac-efron-on-the-worst-thing-about-his-perfect-body-oh-and-he-talks-about-movies/news-story/cc5ff77f8a0238026b3962c928ee9d03
