USA Today:
It's the beach running wipe-out seen around the world.
Zac Efron was cruising along the beach last week for the money shot of Baywatch, the movie. He was looking beautifully ripped alongside his bathing suit-clad co-stars, including Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach.
Then Efron took a masterful stumble on the beach, captured by cameras.
"I just totally tripped," Efron told USA TODAY with a smile about the mishap. "And it was the most important shot, literally the most important shot of Baywatch."
Well let's keep in mind, it is meant to be a raunchy comedy. So the fall seemed to fit right in. But Efron insisted the wipe-out was definitely not in the script.
"I fell," Efron said Saturday during a press stop for his comedy Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Efron flew to Los Angeles from the Baywatch set and added that his co-stars got a laugh from the spill. "They liked it."
Running at a sprint and falling can be dangerous. But Efron reacted well in the moment.
"I went into a dive-roll, it was cool," he said.
