I'm assuming that I'm in the minority here, but I think he looks too hunked out. Too bulky, too meaty. Sure, he looks great in a Mr. Universe sort of way, but I preferred his appearance when he was a bit slimmer but still with great upper body development.

I expressed my fear some time ago, that in anticipation of going on screen next to Dwayne Johnson, Zac might try to build himself up as much as possible. That's a mistake. He should have trimmed off 10-15 pounds a presented himself as the alternative to the slab-of-muscle look.

I agree with you! It's time to stop bulging up! His look in WAYF was perfect. Imo.

Nooh. Too skinny. Neighbors and Neighbors 2 body is my favorite.

The biggest praise I have read about "Dirty Grandpa" is about Zac Efron's ass in the EW review, I think he must take some time from doing those comedies, some people are tired to see him doing that and are acting like it's the only thing he can do

It's hard to praise anything in DG, but Zac's behind is certainly one exception. But you are right. As I said here some time ago, he is turning himself into a kind of male pin-up, more famous for his physical pulchritude than his acting - so no one will notice that his acting is just about a match for Di Nero in DG.

To be fair, I read a lovely review that praised Zac's acting in DG - that he did his best but couldn't bail out such a loser script. Think about it: praising Zac; ignoring De Niro. What does that tell you?

Woohoo! DG came in second for the Friday box office ($4.2 million), just behind Revenant ($4.55 million) in first place. If this holds for the weekend, I will be oh so happy.

Two side notes on Dirty Grandpa.

First, Zac sings in a karaoke scene. It's dubbed, as you can tell from the terrible lip synchronization. But that OK, music is always recorded in a studio and dubbed into the sound track later. My problem is that the first few phrases sound like Zac but the rest just doesn't sound like him to me. Is he using a stunt singer here? I thought he swore off that sort of thing after his embarrassment over the "blending" of his voice and a better singer in HSM 1. I'd like to believe it's him. Maybe he just sounds really different in that higher register. But I am terribly suspicious.

Then, in the two-men-in-a-bed scene, is that Robert Di Nero's penis dangling in Zac face, or did they use a stunt penis? Zac prides himself in doing all his own on-camera action; I don't know about Di Nero. But either way, how many takes did they shoot, how many times did Zac have to stare at male genitalia so close that he might have gone cross-eyed (there's a joke they missed!)?

The dubbing was really weird. I'd have to hear it again but my guess is either severely autotuned or mixed with someone else. Like at first it sounded just auto tuned but the further into it I was less sure. But what is even weirder is the later version of the song, it sounds all like him. And it sounds great. So I don't know. In general the post production elements on this were terrible (ugh that awful photoshop in the opening sequence), so it could be him and they just screwed up the audio.

I want to listen, according to soundtrack.net, if it's "Because you loved me" for Celine Dion, and the singers are Zac Efron and Juliane Hough, with Richard Harris and Justin Levy (?), this movie don't even have a soundtrack

No, the karaoke scene was on the road with his non-fiance girl friend.
