The second one sounds interesting.

But ew, I can't deal with Nicholas Sparks.

a former marine? he isn't that old.

In the Tarantino-esque blend of Gossip Girl, True Romance and Romeo and Juliet, Efron would play Ben, an underachieving, deadbeat son of a famous New York high society attorney who gets himself in over his head when he falls for the daughter of his father's nemesis - a girl who is already busy being stalked by an obsessive French professor.
lol wait what...

The first one, I'm not thrilled about. I don't have anything against the romantic drama genre but I'm not a fan of Nicolas Sparks and moreover I wouldn't want him to do another sappy tearjerker that soon again.

He was just in the process of moving a bit away from his typecasting with all the projects he has set up but now he seems to be falling into the same trap again. If he absolutely has to do this, I really, really hope it won't be his next project.

The second project sound like it could be interesting though. A bit crazy which can be risky but that's great.

Ugh.

Deadline has it now too. And the Sparks one is his next project. The longer I think about it, the more I dislike it.

I know.

We can now add Variety to the list as well. :(

Idk, we might not be the majority but I think people hanging here on the blog count as hardcore fanbase and NOBODY thinks is a good idea or like it. That's concerning in my eyes. :(
