sorry about the confusion. The pic is of a cosplay I did. I just wanted to be sure the length of the skirt is appropriate for Lolita.

you commonly see a lot of lolitas in the US comm whose skirts hit a little above the knee, which is fine, but actually lolita should hit a little below the knee. we just see it looking shorter because western lolitas are taller! i think that's a good length.

I think that length is perfect, and actually rather slimming on larger legs--as you said, hides the thigh, and I think emphasizes the slenderness of the ankle. Remember to come back and show us the finished (lolita) result!
