Hi there, I'm interested in the Candelabra Skirt.
How much would it be tracked shipping to Italy?

Thanks in advance!

Hi!

Thanks for your interest! You have two options for shipping:

First Class tracked: $23, no insurance, usually takes about 10 business days to arrive, but can be as quick as 5days total or as long as 3weeks, but that long of a wait is very uncommon

-or-

Priority tracked: $33, insured, usually takes one week for delivery, but can also take up to three weeks. This method is generally a bit faster than First Class shipping.

Please let me know if that works for you! If you send me a PM, please make sure to comment here first so I receive the notification. Thanks!

Also, if shipping ends up being cheaper I will refund the difference, but these are the estimated prices from the USPS website.

Thank you for the prompt answer!
Can you provide a picture of the skirt being worn?

First Class tracked would be okay for me, as long as I can 'follow' the package online.
Thanks a lot!

Ah.
.. But, wasn't I supposed to have the priority since I wrote you first with a public comment?

I don't buy on EGL too often but I remember that sellers used at least to ask the first in line to confirm there was no longer interest in the item before selling to the other potential buyers. I know 4 days passed between your answer and mine, but still .. I didn't read anything like 'first pay first served' policy in your post and I didn't make you wait for weeks. Honestly I can't help finding this quite unfair.

But maybe rules have changed, I'll ask the mods to be sure.

I'm sorry that you feel this is unfair, but as a mod of the community I can tell you that priority is at the discretion of the seller. In most cases, sellers will give priority for whoever leaves their PayPal first, and in this case I had assumed you were no longer interested as you did not state anywhere that you were committing to buy and did not respond for days. It is unfair to expect a seller to hold an item for a buyer who has not committed to purchase and has not responded to the shipping quote for days. I understand why you would be upset for not getting the item, but with no response and no statement committing to buy, I assumed you were no longer interested and gave priority to who sent me their PayPal and stated their commitment to purchase.

There is no encompassing rule on this subject, and a comment asking about shipping does not indicate that the person is first in line if they do not state their intention to purchase to the seller or ask them to hold the item while they decide.

So .. I, as the seller, am free to sell my items to whoever is able to pay first?
It doesn't matter if some buyer asked for informations or photos or anything regarding the items first: if there's a buyer ready to pay, paypal address provided, I'm legitimated to sell the item to him/her. How do buyers commit to buy exactly? Should they state 'I am committed to buy' in their sale's comment to be considered first in line? Do they have to provide their Paypal address? What if buyers need informations regarding the item first .. As the seller I can ignore them if there's someone else willing to buy immediately no questions asked? Buyers can ask to put an item on hold while seeking/waiting informations? What happens if the buyer asked to put the item on hold and then, after the informations have been provided, the buyer decides (for whatever reason) not to buy the item anymore?

I can't find any clue on the rules page regarding the proper procedure besides the 'once you have committed to sell to or buy from another member, that commitment ( ... )

Thanks to the both of you (klhinkle and wonderfinch) for the informations provided.
This:

A statement that would be binding is, "I plan on purchasing your blouse, but need to know the measurements first. I will leave my PayPal to reserve my spot", or, "I plan on purchasing your blouse, but I need to know the measurements first, could you please hold the item for me until the measurements are provided so that I may see if it will work for me?"

.. Is all I wanted to know.
Two more considerations though:

However, please be respectful in understanding that I AM a moderator for this community and have been for quite some time, I do thoroughly know and understand the rules and my word is as good as any other mod's would be. If I give an answer on a scenario DO NOT try and go over me to someone else to be told what you want to hear, because it isn't going to happen.I think I have the right to ask to someone else for advice since you and I are the interested parties here and our judgement would be clearly influenced by our own interests.
