First off, our community rules (which I wrote) do not explicitly deal with sales priority. Our only rule regarding sales priority states that a seller may not back out of a sale once they have committed to selling to a buyer. Generally, this means sellers can't back out once they have agreed to invoice a buyer. Before that, though, we allow sellers to set their own rules regarding which offers to accept.
While I understand your frustration at not getting the item you wanted, what you're proposing just isn't reasonable. You asked a question about an item and then waited several days to contact the seller, without saying you would like to purchase the item. During that time, if she had held the item, she may have had to turn down several other potential buyers to sell to you- and if you decided you didn't want the item, she may have missed out on those potential sales! It's really not fair to demand that a seller wait four days when you did not clearly express an intent to buy- especially for such a long period of time!
In the future, if you are interested in an item, please be sure to clearly express your intent to purchase. "I'm interested in this item!" or "How much is shipping?" usually isn't enough- lots of people can be interested but it's easy to change your mind, especially when pricey international shipping is at issue. Generally, the best way to unequivocally express your intent to purchase is to send the seller a PM with your PayPal address for invoicing, and comment saying you have done so. However, please note that if you decide not to purchase after sending your PP to a seller, they might leave you negative feedback for backing out of a sale.
Sorry again you missed out on an item you wanted. Hopefully following these steps will help you avoid similar issues in the future!
