Hello friends!! I am extremely new to this community but I figured that this would be one of the best places to ask my question (so I could get different responses and opinions!) I just came back from Japan a few months ago with a brand new Angelic Pretty Melty Sky OP (in dark blue <3 ( Read more... )

According to Lolibrary, Angelic Pretty's Melty Sky OP is made of 100% chiffon (probably polyester chiffon) for the body and 100% satin for the additional fabric.

Since it is made of those fabrics, I would recommend hand-washing (a guide to which you can find here: http://fyeahlolita.blogspot.com/2010/09/how-to-clean-lolita-clothes-at-home.html) or machine-washing on the hand-wash cycle, which is generally what I do. If you machine-wash it, just be sure to turn it inside out, put it in a mesh washing bag before washing, and remove any removable bows or waist ties.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much!! I just tested a part of the print with water and it turned out fine so I just put some cold water over the stains and was able to rub them out with no damage to the print!! I think what may have happened was that a large drop of water hit it and dried weird, because when I put water on it to clean it (and dried with a cloth) it was fine... Either way, THE STAINS ARE GONE!!! :D

A stain with just water? Odd. I wash my prints, cotton or polyester, by hand in cold water using a detergent (or liquid soap or whatever it's called) labelled for "fine clothes". It works well and it seems to do no harm to prints. Not that I wash them frequently, as mine are mostly on clothes that don't have contact with the skin. But I wash everything this way and so far so good, my pieces look happy enough ( ... )

I would search on subjekt. However if the print get stain by a few drops of water I would have my second thoughts about soaking it in.
