I want Sweet to return, but in a much more toned-down way.

Classic is the in-thing right now, and it just feels... /weird/, to see AP putting out stuff that I would expect BTSSB or AaTP to have put out 2-3 years ago. Old School Sweet should make a come-back next year, and I want AP to lead the way.

I like the direction Lolita is going in! I think there's been a lot of really cool experimentation in fabrics, accessories, and silhouettes in the last year that would have been unbelievable a handful of years ago. I was practically blown away when I saw BtSSB's chain headdress, can you imagine if someone asked "Can I wear this with Lolita?" in even like 2012? Not to mention all these longer & less poofy dresses and how much more common satin and raschel lace seems to be now! I really hope this is less of a "rebellious" trend from all those years of OTT Sweet and more of an indication of where the fashion is going. In a way it reminds me of the wild west of burando in the late 90s/early 00s!

As a prediction, I can definitely see a revival in Gothic Lolita, particularly more lush OTT pieces, rather than the "traditional" idea of what Gothic Lolita means. I'd personally really love to see more of a mix of the religious trend with Gothic Lolita to create a lot of really cool nun-styled outfits.

I think nun-styled pieces have been pretty numerous this year, haven't they? Innocent World and BABY both pulled out a few with nun-styled collars and religious-themed prints.

But yeah, I would like to see more gothic in adventurous forms, rather than either AatP's or Moitié's styles exclusively. I would like to see something new and surprising in that style. That's why I really loved Moitié's latest release, their print with black glittery crosses all over. It's something quite different from what they used to pull out.
