SUPER late review! IxDoxDeclare (Image Heavy)

Jan 23, 2011 16:08

I wasn't originally going to do this review at all, but when I noticed there were no reviews for this seller, I decided "better late than never."

I bought the item "Welcome to Wonderland skirt blue" from IxDoxDeclare on etsy on January 29, 2010. Like I said, super late. Lol.
Mods, if this review is too late to the game, feel free to delete.

The smudging is a bit odd, and if you look closly, there's some loose strings hanging off the lace, but it's not very noticable if you just glance at it. So for quality, yeah, a 4 or 3.5 would be pretty accurate quality-wise. You got what you paid for and your happy with it, so it's all good.

The loose strings never really bothered me, because the lace is thick and loose strings don't spell death for the kind of lace on the skirt.

But yeah, I'm pretty happy with the skirt, so all is good. :)

Despite the smudges, I think it's pretty awesome by being hand painted.

I do too. I love that it's hand painted. I just wish she'd been -slightly- more careful, is all. But it's not a big monstrous deal. haha. :)

It looks like it was block-printed (a big carved stamp), and smudges are part of the effect when you do block-printing.

I was going to say something similar, except the smudges look kind of like some of the screen prints I've done when I've not been paying attention and the screen has wobbled (there are some bits there where it looks like it has a "ghost" of a print).

Either way, it would personally put me off buying, but it is a pretty design and if rococosuicide is happy with her purchase then cool :)

The fabric looks like chambray. I love chambray. It's a nice shade of blue and it's soft.
