Michael's, Hobby Lobby and JoAnne's all have sold those sorts of things before. I've also seen them in doll house specialty shops.

Michael's sells a brand of jewelry pieces by Blue Moon, and one of the lines (I think it's tokens?) has a bird cage with a bird inside on a swing.
