I think doing more abstract art takes a different skill and imagination. It’s not necessarily simpler. And your photographs show that you still have the eye for more realistic things when you choose. I love that mushroom.

Picasso spent his whole life trying to learn to paint as a child again. I say embrace it. Also, I like your paintings.

I don't find your art "simple" at all. There is a great deal of experience and skill needed to pare down one's art to the essential!

It does! That's why I do it. I don't know why I keep having this conversation in my head about its worth. I should just say that if I like it it's worth it.
