the lampshade looks nice! i didn't know furnaces produced condensate year round either, until my condensate pump failed and i had to replace it. we discovered the failure when the pump overfilled and leaked across the basement floor, where the roommate lives. luckily the pump was easy to replace. hope the repair for jules is simple too.
Lovely lamp! Personally I'd do maybe between 2"-4" of fringe simply because being an immature person, I'd dub it "the jellyfish lamp" and put googly eyes on it if the fringe was any longer lol. But it looks great with long fringe too!
The gas furnaces remove moisture from the air, to varying degrees. High-efficiency ones the most. They have drain hoses. I just realized I was thinking the wrong thing when I responded - it was Jules's floor drain that got stopped up, not a problem with the furnace. The problem we have is that there's some plastic thingy inside the furnace, that occasionally gets clogged so water can't drain, and the furnace stops heating.

Yes, an easy fix thank goodness. They just needed to clear the drain under the furnace and it was okay.

Our furnace doesn't leak, it gets plugged and stops working.
