Trying to work up a thanksgiving holiday feeling. Woke up at 3 am. I think I'll stay up. I got most the housecleaning I wanted to do done yesterday. This morning I need to prepare foods. People are coming at noon. Not that many people - in all, just 7 of us. I'm just not a holiday "party" social person. When I make this about the food I just think ( Read more... )

It does sound like a lot of food but I guess that's what thanksgiving dinner is supposed to be.

Yes, looking at the bad does not help at all. Except to plan around it.

That is a lot of food for seven. It’s so hard to cut things out though, especially when they are family favourites. I’m sorry your eyes are feeling so irritated right now. When will you have the cataract surgery?

That is a lot of food for 7 people. That's why these big holiday dinners seem so dumb in a way.

My first eye surgery will be on December 7th. The other eye on Jan 2nd.

Sounds like you have more than enough food prepared--and all of it sounds wonderful!

I'm sorry about your eye problems. Actually I'm a bit surprised I haven't developed any of my own yet, other than the bifocals.

I didn't even know I had these things wrong with my eyes till I went to consult for cataract surgery. I just thought I had runny, weepy eyes a lot. Dry eyes.

I read an article sometime in the past year that claimed that dry eyes or runny, weepy eyes are often the result of an allergy. I wonder what allergy or allergies might be causing your eye problem?

Has the doctor even discussed such a possibility with you?

:^)

I think it is probably the thing I mentioned in my entry. Map Dot Fingerprint Dystrophy. Since I have that, and that is what my symptoms are like.
