Those bikes are growing in popularity. I wonder if I could keep my feet on the pedals (a problem I have since tearing my achilles tendons.

I'd think if you could ride a regular bike you could ride this kind of bike too. They are just much easier to pedal.

You got me started thinking about what I'd like to have more of during my next life.
I'd like more arts/crafts, more kind-hearted adult mentors, more time spent with horses and other animals, and more friendships with friendly people (particularly as a child).
I'd also like a mother who didn't act like the little red hen whom the "Farmer" had blessed with a duck egg rather than a swan egg.
I'm sick and tired of spending so much time around hostile or toxic people--and I've reached the breaking point where inconstant "don't give a d@mn" people are concerned.

It's fun to think of the "next life" but then it really comes down to what am I going to do about THIS life. :-)

I suggested we try marriage together again and he agreed. That felt good. We aren't doing that bad this time but maybe we could do even better next time.

This may be the sweetest thing I've ever heard. 💜

I look back at it and see that in this life I needed to go through a bad marriage first to appreciate a good marriage and be a better partner. Life... It can only be understood in looking back...

I've only ever ridden a bike like that once, and it was in China in one of the cities i visited where the sharebikes were electric. I found it nervewracking! It's like, the bike wanted to ride so much faster than i did, and i couldn't find a way to turn off the assist. Reminded me of driving an automatic car that drives forward by itself when you take your foot off the brake. Weird sensation. But it came into its own when i needed to climb a hill - it hardly cost me any effort at all. I definitely understand why people love the things.

I'm really happy bikes like this are getting more popular. It's like people getting into meatless Monday or Veganuary - every little bit helps. Everyone taking a day trip to explore nearby on one of those things is one less person in a car that day. No emissions, no noise, they're awesome. I think if you keep your wits about you and keep to less busy roads you should be okay.

I'm thinking I could still get exercise (on the lowest level of assist most the time) and I could have a lot of fun exploring around where we live. As it is now I usually drive my car into town with my bike on the bike rack to bike on the "rails to trails" bike trails. It might be a lot more interesting to do something new and explore the little dirt roads near home. Driving my car to go to a bike trail kind of defeats the purpose of riding a bike in the first place!
