It’s odd how memory works - I had completely forgotten about Dave having the heart attack, but distinctly recall you teaching Alison and then giving her most of your equipment. Maybe it’s because Dave bounced back so well and you never make jewelry any more? You were doing a lot of it when we first became friends so it for me it is an essential part of who you are.
please start paying more attention to eating and drinking when you hike. Do you carry something like a granola bar and a bottle of water with you? If you fell or something, especially while alone, it could be quite dangerous.
I do carry a granola bar and water when I hike by myself (but I didn't have it last night at the lake). I took a few sips of water last week while on my hike with Rainy and I do think that helped me get back to the car okay. I'm thinking I might start to carry a juice box with me too now. Two birds with one stone.
I was surprised that it was only one year ago that Dave got the stents. It seems long ago to me. I asked him and he said it seems short to him. I guess it's relative to who it's happening to.
It's always a pleasant surprise when I get one of these in the mail. Nice to see how things might have changed in a year.
That's too bad you don't live near places to walk. Two Mile Run County Park (the closest place for me) is about 10 miles from me. I wish it was closer. I'd go more often if it was closer. I don't like that I need to drive to get there.

Maybe you need to carry a gatorade or a drink with electrolytes with you.

Yes,take care of yourself! Love that you hike a lot, super healthy way of living. I wish i lived in walking distance of a lake or wooded area.
