tuesday - crazy for gazing balls

Even though it rained yesterday it didn't rain all day and I got a lot done in cleaning off the front patio - swept it 3 times. Once "dry" swept, and then twice after splashing it with water. I love the chickens but they are terrible about scratching up dirt that flies onto the patio and sidewalk. What got all this patio rejuvenation started is I

Very cool gazing balls! I have one of the old fashioned ones(it was here when we moved here). I have a mosaic one. I should get it out and find a place for it.

Cool! I never had interest in having one until suddenly about a month ago. Now I'm going to have to hold myself back from becoming a collector of them. My sister earthmother45 has some wonderful ones and great places to display them in her more tropical garden setting. I'm going to have to work around finding places for them that the chickens won't bother. 🤔

I like the one with the solar light in it! Where did you get that one? Nice mosaic one, too!

I prefer to place mine closer to the ground (some even right on the ground) only because one large multi-color beauty got knocked off a higher pedestal by a critter and broke. I really like the stand in your last picture.

I love your little "set up" on the front porch! And I see the reflection in the mirror, too. I do remember the silver gazing ball that the Grill's had.

The solar one looks very striking in the night picture of it. I got it at Rural King. It is brand name Alpine. The settings on the camera make it appear brighter than it is in reality. Though it is very pretty anyway in the daytime with that white drippy glass over the blue. I'm in collector mode now though! I have my eye on another blue one with a crackle finish. Three seems like a more complete number, right?

Three is good! But once you hit three of anything, there is no limit! :))

I love grouping them together, all sizes, colors and textures. I'll check into the crackle finish one you got and also the solar one. I found it on line. Pete likes the solar one best.
