Woke up from a dream where I was taking care of a baby girl. We were staying in a fancy hotel or spa where there were sweeping curved stairways and huge bathrooms with white tile partitions and different sections. The little baby was the size of a newborn but capable of walking and talking. She was very feisty and active. While I wasn't paying ( Read more... )

Gee whiz, and I thought my worktable was messy!
I will have to get busy and see if I can mess mine up some more.

The thing is I only need a tiny strip of space, about 2" wide at the front edge to keep working so then it all just starts to fill up with clutter eventually if I don't keep at it.

if you really want to organize, maybe something like these little containers would work. they're 2.6"x5"x0.8" with 10 divided spots each so they're not too deep to reach into and fish stuff out of. and this is a 12 pack of them for $12.99. https://www.amazon.com/Clear-Jewelry-Box-Adjustable-Compartments/dp/B07C3LP4QB... )

Thanks for the links. I have similar cases for my gems and beads. They are nice. I found after looking things over that only about half of my ice cube trays are going bad so I'm consolidating everything into the good ones. I figured out this morning that I don't spend enough time on the jewelry anymore to validate spending money on new storage.

I do the same thing. Get everything organized to the limit and then feel satisfied that I don't need to do anything more with it! :-)

Owie! Sorry to hear about Dave's back! Hope he's able to relax enough that whatever's pulled or misaligned begins to feel better.

Your ice cube tray is similar to what I used to do when disassembling interiors of cars for a/c installations or overhauling carburetors--anytime, really, that I had lots of small parts that I had to keep sorted for reinstallation. Except I used muffin tins, durable with multiple compartments, and easily cleaned.

Great minds, you know, lol...

Right! For working in a garage muffin tins would be the way to go!

He's getting better day by day.
