That's a very apt mind picture you've given me. Sometimes I feel a bit like a troll with a treasure pile and when you look at all the books and fabric I've gathered up, it really is a pile! LOL! Minimalism is highly over-rated I think. As long as you can still clean your house and aren't forced to stay on paths to navigate your house, I think you are okay. Thinning your unneeded and unwanted possessions out though is a good thing to do--if you can actually figure out what you truly need and want to keep. :^)
Fascinating dream, Mary. And I love your interpretation - and the joining of the trauma of John's accident and the need for "things." On the Hoarder show they often trace the hoarding back to a traumatic event in the person's life. I like the idea of hooking up a dream with your current waking concern - that's a new idea to me.
I did some research years ago on the meaning of dreams and how to interpret them and that was a suggested thing. Now it's one of the first things I go to when I try to figure out what a dream means. It makes sense that if you have concerns in the daytime then your dreams are going to be working on them too.
i thought dreaming of the brakes not working in the car meant you felt something in your life was a little out of your current control. i've had that dream before, stomping on the brakes and the car/truck barely slowing down. but then, i'll also never believe that i need less crafty stuff, hehehe.
