I'll be interested in how you will use the Pi Xius in a pendant. My only thought is drilling a hole and using a cord.

Since Pi Xiu is an eater of gold and gems I’m thinking I want to use some gems in the design somehow too. It will be a little challenge to figure something out.

Your Pi Xius are wonderful! What are you going to do with them?

I'm planning to make some pendants with them. I can see adding some gems to the designs too since Pi Xius are eaters of gems and gold.

What are these made out of? I didn't know you had a herd of them ordered! It will be interesting to see how you incorporate them into your art.

It must be nice to be in your studio and look out on the bird feeders!

Wow, eight miles of biking! Sorry about your knee, though. Is there some way of finding out what it wrong with it and how to fix it?

Good idea to practice piano while it is raining. I can't think of a nicer thing!

Some of them are obsidian (the black looking ones) and there is agate and tiger eye too.

On a bike 8 miles isn't very far, compared to what i used to do. So I'm hoping to get better as the summer goes on. I think i just need to be patient and let it heal. I might have stretched or torn something in there.

Oh, they're made of semi-precious stones? How cool! I thought they were some kind of resin in moulds! How clever of someone to cut them into those shapes for you.

I'm always amazed at how far you ride. Eight miles is how far my town is from me! One of my son's has ridden it a few times. It is very dangerous, though. There is nowhere special for bikes and with traffic and hills and bends it is a nightmare!

I have a feeling you need to let your knee rest and heal. You're the person who likes to get out and do things, though!

As someone who has severe osteoarthritis in one knee, I can sympathise with the knee pain - there is nothing worse than constant pain, as it's very wearing. I hope you find out what it causing it and can get something that works for you.

I've never seen a hummingbird in real life, but they look exquisite when I've seen them on nature programs. I admit to be a tad envious that you get to see them from your window every day.

Sorry to hear you have knee pain. Would a knee replacement help? They couldn't see anything wrong with the bones in the xray so I'm thinking i just need to be patient and let it heal.

They are a thrill to see up close. :-)

I'm too young for a knee replacement. They don't consider it here until you are at least 70 years old as the implants have a life of only 15 years and subsequent surgeries are not as successful as the first one.

I was diagnosed at 50 years old after a bike accident, so I've had this for twelve years. X-rays didn't show much - it was the CAT scan and MRI that gave them the ability to see how extensive the damage was. I use this brace every day and it has meant that I can go out on long rambles with the dog (I cover around 10 miles every day). Without this brace, I can barely make it from my bed to the kitchen. It works by keeping the knee joint separated, so it doesn't rub together.

That is fascinating about the brace! I will definitely keep that in mind. I have a friend who might be interested in something like that too.
