I don't have air con. Dad has it now, mum wouldn't let him put on in the window with the best view before that. I guess your kitchen is like the old kitchen of yore: a place to gather, this time for the coolness and not the heat!

And I love that spiral. There used to be one at the local market. I don't know if it is still there. It was only made with mown grass.
I wish there was a different out of the way place to put the AC unit. It is noisy and if we put it in the living room we wouldn't be able to hear the TV so I guess we are stuck with the kitchen. We just use that for cooking - not really a gathering place.
Exercise is supposed to be good for your heart. Though I don't get my heart rate up that high. I'm more of a slow and steady person.

Guided meditations are a good way to get yourself into meditating better. You don’t necessarily have to think about nothing - that is just one style of meditation. Walking yourself through visualizations or doing something like going through your body and concentrating on relaxing muscles one group at a time can also work well.

I think that is why it works - you have to really concentrate - no room for thoughts. :-)
