I woke up really early this morning. When I have a sale on etsy my tablet makes a sound like a cash register - that's what woke me. So when I got up to go to the bathroom at 3:30 I checked to see what sold. Someone wanted 10 rubber cords. Those are things that I usually make up one at a time as I need them to go with pendants. I was out of the ( Read more... )

That’s so cool about a virtual store (and life). On demand.

Omg that picture of the deer. The rib cage makes it <3

I do like the convenience of having a store on etsy. I can stay at home and hide behind my computer. :-) But I still put the customer first when I get an order and need to get it out. I have mixed feelings when I hear "the cash register". I always hope it is something I have already made and can just package it and send it.

Dave thought it was gross that I took a picture of the deer. It was gross but interesting too.

I really like that picture of Dave with the moon. I didn’t realize that about IR and Sunglasses.

I love the pictures of Polk! Is anyone housed there now?

I first noticed that about sunglasses when I took a photo of Candy in her sunglasses and then later saw that I could see her eyes. Maybe it is only the kind of sunglasses that get darker in the sun and lighter out of the sun though.

There are still residents at Polk, but much less than back when I started there in 1971. They converted the huge dormitories into individual bedrooms and that is much nicer now.

I know what you mean about boots making your feet feel heavy, but sometimes they are needed!

Beautiful pics :)

The moon looks like it did on Australia Day night. Just a bit fuller. We will have the eclipse here and are supposed to have the moon and the sun in the sky at one time, but I guess one in the east and one in the west. I probably won't be able to see anything anyway because it has gone all cloudy on us :(

I was glad to have the rubber boots for this walk. Dave wears his all winter but I don't like them that much and only wear them when I absolutely need them. Usually I wear hiking shoes if I can get away with that.

Thanks!

That is so neat that you will be able to see the eclipse. I hope the sky clears for you.

I don't like wearing rubber boots, either, as they are most uncomfortable. But sometimes they're the best thing. yes, hiking boots would be much more preferable.

The sky didn't clear. It rained lightly all night. C'est la vie!
