rail 66 trail

Candy and I biked 15.25 round trip miles on the Rail 66 trail today. It was chilly but really good. Though both ways - out, and then back again - felt like we were going uphill for some reason. There are some really beautiful views on the paved part of the trail (didn't get any photos of that - sorry). I think they chose to pave that 4 mile stretch ( Read more... )

Nice photos! It must have been nice to have a change of scenery although all the other places are beautiful and being down in the gullies I imagine is warmer in the daytime and out of the wind.

Very interesting buildings. Fancy, a stove for every room! I guess you would need those because you have snow.

Your photo where you said the tree was full of blackbirds calling...I couldn't see the birds, but could see the black cattle. Imagine cattle singing like birds. Weird idea, huh? I looked up You tube to listen to how blackbird sound, and they DO sound beautiful! I can see how you could turn that photo into a painting.

Perhaps the manager of the station might want his door closed - that might be why he would need his own stove?

Maybe. But those wooden buildings were very cold. (I know, because I've live in 'em.)

Ah, well. The photos you took were good. That's all that matters. You might have wanted to keep moving and get some exercise!
