it looks so sweet for how mean we know it can be. well, maybe not mean (since it's only protecting itself) -- but that bite sure scares me.

We did mess with it a little to see if we could get it off the trail. It struck out at the stick Dave held in front of it, like lightening.

Don't know. I've seen bigger ones. This one was medium sized - shell about a foot long.

Great turtle shot. I was going to ask how big it was, but I see above it was 1 ft long :)

I think late afternoon/early evening is a great time to be out biking in the summer :)

And I'm hoping Andy turns out like that chocolate lab. He probably will.

We can see improvements in Andy in the few months we have had him. But he still has a way to go to be a calm laid back old dog. Looking forward to it. :-)

Yup. pretty neat to see them. They can be dangerous. I guess once they latch onto something they won't let go no matter what.
