I think the lighting was just right ... to me the pictures are great. I love all the bright green moss everywhere. It really does look slippery in many places.
I kept thinking how much better Golden Hour light would have been.
Those things nearest to me on my thigh are candied ginger (if you didn't recognize it - one of your favorites). Candy had never had them before. I try to pace myself with them and only eat a little bit between bites of other things. Otherwise I make myself sick.
I thought they looked familiar, but then saw the piece of orange below and thought those things might be pieces of faded orange. Can you buy them pretty easily there in Franklin? What did Candy think of them? I can only get them here at Christmas time in small containers. Their shelf life is long, so I usually buy a bunch and make them last all year long. A lot of times I forget about them in the back of the cupboard until I go looking for something and see them....then I've got to have a few. I've made homemade ginger snaps a couple of times and wow are they good!
I just happened to see them last time I was in Giant Eagle - never noticed them there before. Candy thought they were intriguing but I don't think she liked then a *whole* lot. She only ate a little of them. I ate much more.
I thought cloudy conditions were supposed to take the best photos. I really love these. My favourite is the the mossy rocks one but I really love the one of Dennison Run, too.
Blunder Trail - right name! Maybe the first person who went up there thought they'd made a blunder and referred to it as Blunder Trail afterwards. I would call it Boulder Trail. Perhaps it's a corruption of that. It looks like it might be rather slippery to walk up it
I must say, I really admire your perseverance in keeping active. You put me to shame!
I think cloudy is better than having a bright sun overhead (which is the worst) but Golden Hour is the best - when the sun is low in the sky in the morning or evening.
It was slippery. Very glad to have a walking stick.
I was SORE last night. Still am! It's good that I have Candy to challenge me.
