Is everything there embedded into the paper? The gold threads?

Not embedded very deeply - though it does seem to hold on. I put a double coat of matte medium on to really hold things in place.

I made 10 sets of slightly different assorted things in the papers for her to chose her favorite.

This is really beautiful! I think she'll love it! How could she not!? I have wanted to do paper making for a very long time, but never have. I hope I do get to try it some day! Your picture is very inspiring!

I use a "pour mold" to make my paper. That way I can make each piece different from the last and it is more time consuming. But paper making is actually pretty simple if you use just a regular screen and a big tub. As an art form I think it is very satisfying.
