Another first for me this week - bought my first 'real' bicycle.  As a kid I had walmart/department store bikes - huffy was a high end brand for me.  I always thought there was no real difference and that 'real' bikes were overpriced and just for people who did the tour de france, etc

wow. Like you I've always considered bikes like the first paragraph.
but I imagine gear ratios and hills effect calories also.

Very nice. You'll prolly drop down to below my weigh pretty soon.

Granted if I will get off my ass and back into playing my Wii and going
to the Gym with jedishadowolf and my Adopted Little Brother/Cousin, then I can prolly drop back below 200 pretty quick.
