Hi... this is the girl from your psych clas... katie.... I couldn't help but notice your post.... I'm going to u of m. i personally love the campus to tell you the truth. MSU was ok, but I just love ann arbor. I love the city. But yeah, some people are very snobby, and quite a few people believe they are better than everyone else because they go to u of m, but that's a terrible generallzation because I'm sure you can find perfectly decent people anywhere you go... and MSU has a lot of people that are all about partying and rioting (jk)... but i don't think that should be a reason to pick a school, because of all the people there. Which school is gonna get you farther in life? Which school is better suited for your educational needs and where you want to go in your life and what you want to be? Thats how you need to decide... now, is that school msu or u of m? dun dun dun dun... and i'm sorry that you don't really know me and I'm commenting, but I've always thought you were nice and funny.... the end
UofM, if can go to a better academic school you should. Not saying State is a bad school, its just that UofM is better for getting a jumpstart in your career.
Knowing you and ur super smartness, you could probably get a decent scholarship and some big place like yale or princeton or someother big, well known place where all the geniuses go.
hahah, but i dont want to go where all the geniuses go, even if they offer me a mountain of cash big enough for me to afford it. Ivy League is for like... senators' children, and people who are guaranteed be multimillionares when they're older. to me, it's not a matter of whether or not i could make it to there, it's a matter of whether or not i wanna be the type of person they tend to produce. maybe i want to make only 60-90 thousand for the rest of my life. i've been thinking about that old saying that money doesnt buy happiness. it's one of those things that most people AGREE with but very few people actually REALIZE inside their minds. and i think i do realize that now.
anyway, i digress. i'm not really sure what i was talking about there for a minute. yea, so, maybe i'm generalizing again here, but i think Ivy League or something really fancy-pants like that just isn't for me, just because of the type of person they attract.
I agree with you there...you don't neccessarily have to be a genius to go to an Ivy League school..you just have to have MUCHO DINERO. And talk about a bunch of snobs, WAY more than what U of M would have.
I vote U of M but its not up to me...or anyone else but you. I just like U of M better than MSU, for multiple reasons. But my friends roomate at U of M did tend to carry gun/knife and keep it in his dorm room, so you might wanna watch out for that.
