Okay, I'm trying to get this straight. If someone anywhere near the center or left thereof seeks high office, his/her detractors and the press have the divine right to divulge the most minute, trivial details of their lives, no matter how little they may bear on the candidate/nominee's ability to execute the duties of the office he/she seeks.
