I think just about any other world leader is going to look older (and, in the case of quite a few nations) washed out, next to Obama. ;) I'm glad our President corrected Bush's farewell oversight by including you guys first. Also, I find it incredibly touching to see Canadians wearing the "Yes we can" shirts.

It's kind of funny how super excited Canadians were over the visit *g* The thrill doesn't end in the U.S, that's for sure. And yeah, I know - I had to include that picture because it just shows what he represents outside of the U.S, as well.

I know!! I have such a soft spot for daddies who love their children, haha, ESPECIALLY if they're the President, evidently :P

It's so wonderful to see that, though he's President, he's still himself. He's the only President I've ever wanted to meet.

Isn't it just? Actually, your comment really highlighted something for me - how genuinely happy he seems to be here. To be honest, I don't remember anyone before Bush that well, so he's what I'm going by, but still - he never seemed particularly happy to be in Canada, or even as though he thought much of us. So yeah, this is nice.

Cool beans, although whatever happened with Harper and the no confidence vote? Is the Parliament still dismissed?

The Parliament is back in session, but over the break the Liberals chose a new leader, even though they were technically not supposed to choose one for awhile. So Stephane Dion is gone and Michael Ignatieff has kind of backed off on the idea. :P Which was the whole reason Stephen Harper asked for parliament to be dismissed, because it broke the momentum, etc. So, yeah. I don't think there's even any talk of a no confidence vote anymore, to be honest - Canadian politics has sort of become boring, again. :P
