Fun: Going to the zoo with free coupons to get in and more free coupons to get sodas. Seeing the river otters totally hamming it up for the passersby, realizing that the zoo now has an alpaca, having many of the normally nocturnal animals be awake and active at 2:00 for some reason, and seeing a bird in the southwest exhibit wigging out over giving ( Read more... )

Well, we very much enjoyed Eureka tonight. I have to wonder if they are tying things all the way back to the end of the first season. Next week should be very interesting. :)

So sorry your back hurts. I truly know your pain. :(

We liked it a lot too. Of course, having James Callis show up is a boon to almost any show, even if hearing him speaking with an American accent is just jarring. But the first episode looked much more promising than last season, in any case. I hope Zoe isn't going to be gone for the whole thing, though.

Ugh. That sucks. The back thing, I mean. I hope it lets up.

The zoo sounds way fun, though. I haven't been in a really long time. Any day where you see otters playing is not a total failure.

Thanks! I feel some better today in the back department--not sure if we're having a mattress issue or what, but I've been waking up feeling achy lately.

And the otters were hysterical. They would stand straight up on their legs when new people walked by, then dive into the water and bounce off the pool walls. I think that it was close to their feeding time, and they were watching for the zookeepers.

IIRC, when we were docent training, they said feeding time was around 2-3 pm, so that sounds about right.

As for the mattress . . . I dunno. flip and/or rotate?
