Well, that was a mighty show! I should heartily applaud all those friends, ex-friends, and recent exes who contributed to just about the brightest fireworks ever known to LiveJournal. Or at least, in the comments section of my LJ

I don't really see where introverts vs extroverts is a significant issue.
It looks to me like your desire to believe that you haven't done anything wrong interferes with your ability to make a reasonable evaluation of whether there are things you should do differently in the future. People do make mistakes, and life goes on, and accepting that would probably have some value.
Also, if your default reaction to something was to hunt for the grains of truth, rather than focusing on the things that happen to have been carelessly worded, you might be more successful about communicating.
Being that I made the comment, I think it can play a big part. Extroverts are often misunderstood, but so are Introverts. I do not believe one is better then another. If both took time to understand each other, they can compliment each other quite well. I just speak from experience being on both sides of the introvert/extrovert coin. When I was introverted, I thought people where trying to play me and I did not think that extroverts were very deep. While as I have become an extrovert and I like being extroverted a lot better. I have misunderstood introverts as being elitist snobs and with the perception of them being cold. Really there is a bit of both in some people and I know I have both in me. I like being extroverted a whole lot better.
You know something P.k.! I dont care what other people say about you! Im just really geting to know you! and I'll judge for my self what i think you are and arnt so if anybody talks shit about you to meeh they'll get a knockle sandwitch! As far I know, I think your pritty cool and enjoyabule to hang out with!:)
I heard a bit of dialog on a television show that comes to mind in understanding the Rashomon nature of the she said/she said/he said stuff that you are dealing with. I don't remember the precise wording, but I do remember the essence.
"You have the right to say and do what you want, if it's legal. You don't have the right to say and do what you want without consequences." (I placed the emphasis on the words that I remember being emphasized - it's my imperfect memory we're dealing with here

Good point, Tikvah. But I didn't really mean to imply, "it's my journal, so shut up if you don't like what I have to say".
I wasn't upset at the responses to the last entry. I was surprised, and somewhat annoyed that freeko was getting insulted for expressing support, but I don't particularly like people telling me to silence myself. I'd certainly not want to do the same to others, even though the golden rule isn't exactly central to my core philosophies.
I'm a staunch believer in Free Will. Do what you want. I'll eagerly read it, if I'm the subject and it's posted in a place I can see it.
So, yeah, fire away. My hide's now thick enough to bounce off the slings and arrows of both of those whose Bad Books I'm in.
I know for myself when I express an opinion, I speak only for myself. My hope is that people can separate the criticism and understand that just because I disagree with them, that I still care and love them dearly. That any criticism of music, film, etc. etc. is not a personal attack. My sweetie and I have survived 7 1/2 years together despite she is a Sarah McLachlan fan and she is not my cup of tea. We do not agree on the same films. But I know she is my best friend and we meet each other halfway. I focus on what I have in common with people and most times that outweighs any negatives.
Me and my sweetie disagree on some things, but I like having a different perspective from my own. I would get bored if everyone were in agreement with me. (think of Graham Chapman in the Life of Brian "I AM NOT THE MESSIAH") I am just one person. I have no monopoly on the truth. So I dont care what you like or do not like. I am just glad that everyone is here and as long as we are all here, put it there.
