Transitory States

There's a lot I should catch this journal up on. No, really: I was on vacation for ten days seeing marvelous places and people, and I can't even begin there.

I have to start several days before I left, and explain what I meant by this. I wasn't altogether lucid . . . actually, I could barely write at all. I had spent the last few days under a ( Read more... )

Damn and I thought I had problems. I always find it frustrating when people that are friends will avoid serious conversations. I am of the attitude if I have a beef or static with a friend. I like to confront it head on. There is nothing I hate more when people would stick their head in the sand, rather then talk about deep serious issues. *hugs*

It's not as bad as I made it seem. It's a fact of my life that I have noone offline to discuss spiritual matters with. But I'll join an LJ community one of these days that will hopefully serve my needs.

I know you dont know me all THAT well, but if youiwsh a discussion of the spiritual, I would love to at least hear your thoughts. I am about as offbeat and wierd about it as anyone can be (talk to me, and I will LOVE to talk to you back, i have few to discuss it with as well) Besides, as a good UU, I am open minded to an extreme, and I have DEFINETLY seen some things so I will not think you are insane or illogical. This is gonna start rambling, and become an actual statement of my point of view, so I stop here with this: talk to me. give it a try.

How much does Otto write about his other lovers in his livejournal, though?

He wrote quite a bit about M. Always glowingly.

I recently watched Otto and Jane arguing about healthcare policy. It was painful. It seemed to be bad for both of them.

Bingo! That's exactly why me and Jane are in the habit of just stopping the debate, shutting it off, rather than having it turn into something that unintentionally hurts us a great deal. As I'm contemplating my answer to Otto, I'm trying to find words for why his method of argument can be hurtful whereas others, such as PJ's, are usually not.

I'm confused about what you're saying about the thickness of Otto's shell relative to mine.

Hmmm. Perhaps most of my interactions with you have been at large gatherings, where the presence of lots of strangers have put your normal defense-shields at maximum. You are correct that this is not an accurate measure of one's shell.
