is it that we battle with satan, or do we battle with God?
we are inherently sinful, so we can only choose God by Him first choosing us. from then on, we fight and struggle, trying to follow Him, but still not wanting to fully let go of ourselves. we know that God has already defeated satan.
since Christ is already victorious, are we really fighting satan? or is God's holiness so foreign to us that we accept it, kicking and screaming.
I'd say that both fighting God and fighting Satan are there, really. On one hand, you're fighting against Satan and whatever deceptions he throws at you...spiritual warfare is a given when you enter into a relationship with Christ. It's going to happen. And then on the other hand, that deception places you into a mindset that sets us up against God (which is the human nature of sin
