I was doing so well with posting semi-regularly there for awhile. Then I got laryngitis of the fingers and couldn't think of anything even faintly amusing to say. Well. I've been interested in it for years Looks like fun, and of course, the exotic thing is fun ... but I've never found a place around here that teaches it. Not sure how much I could learn from a video. I wouldn't want to get it wrong and have it become a habit.

Of course, the alternative may be growing old before I ever get around to it. That would suck.

I think you are the first person I've known that's gone to a Ren Faire! Is everyone in costume?

The first Faire I ever went to, I performed at - I was sixteen. The performers/staff are all in clothing suitable to the time period. Some of the patrons dress up as well, more these days than ever before. A pirate costume would be anachronistic, (most Faires are Elizabethan, which means the 1600's, and pirates of the sort people immediately think of are from the 1700's), but since the Pirates of the Caribbean movies came out, you know you're going to see them there, and nobody cares that much.
