Hey everyone! I'm not sure how often this community is actually used but I thought I'd introduce myself anyway. I've just moved in with my parents after finishing my B.Sc. in another city. I've looked for a job in my field (environmental science) for a while, but I'm not having any luck, or perhaps I'm looking in all the wrong places. So far I' ( Read more... )

Currently unemployed and half-assedly jobseeking m'self, these days... I hate customer service. The bad ones always seem to stick in my craw long after the nice ones leave.

Welcome!

Thanks! Oh, yeah... Customer service is interesting to say the least. When you deal with the general public on a daily basis, you just gotta learn how to ignore the crazies... The worst thing for your self confidence is not having a purpose in your day, and therefor in your life. What sort of environmental science job are you looking for? I'm in that field (in the wildlife biology end of it now), and I might have some website suggestions for where to look for jobs if you want. Though it seems everything is either a temporary, seasonal unpaid or low paid position, or it's mid-to-upper level full time.
