One Step Away

So today I got my first "Hooah" from a Sergeant Major. Now, as a civilian working for the government I don't know the protocol here. I'm hoping "Jump Master Mark" would be able to field this one. Is it in bad taste not to say anything back, or am I expected to give a "hooah" in return? This time I kept my mouth shut. I guess it caught me off ( Read more... )

Since you're not in the Army you dont have to return a HOOAH. If he said it while you were explaining something to him and he said "HOOAH" it means he understood. Kinda like a "ROGER." HOOAH really ends stuff and you dont say it back. More of a reciept for message sent and recieved. HOOAH. Jumpmaster Mark mailcall, out.
