Got a call from my publisher of The First Year: Lupus a bit ago, and turns out Inside Edition is looking for someone who is an "expert" in lupus who has the disease to do an interview for them today about Michael Jackson

Well, I've done TV before, and lots of radio, some of which has been national in syndication, but the only truly national broadcast I ever did an interview for was NPR. So ... yeah, this'll be interesting.
Of course, it's Inside Edition, so I'm sure they're looking for a particular angle.
"Ever heard of the US presidential primary? New Hampshire? Every four years? The campaign? Ring a bell? Of course we have satellite hookup! We have some of the best!"
I think you should have told her this - or some more polite version of it - yes, she would have felt like an idiot, but sometimes they do need to be reminded of the little things.
Good luck with the interview! Next time, you might want to tell the producer that Manchester, NH even has that newfangled internet thingy and a place for those metal flying machines to land.
I thought the non ANA group was only 10%. My fibro doctor said we'd know if I had lupus in about ten years, ten years ago. And I'm falling apart worse than ever. If the only way to check for lupus is the ANA test, how did you get your lupus diagnosis? Did one or more of your organs have to fail first?

BTW - sent you a package. You should receive by Saturday, hopefully.
